Christmas with GCW
We love Christmas at GCW and we especially love celebrating its good news with the community here in Wakefield.
This year, we have lots on in the run up to Christmas to help you get into the festive mood!
As well as our Carols and Craft event, we'll also be celebrating the Christmas season with an impromptu nativity and a Christmas day service.

Carols and Craft
THE BASICS

No booking required but if you'd like to come and have specific dietry requirements you can let us know.
Join us for our Carols and Craft service at Jubilee Hall this year from 4.00pm on Sunday 17 December.
There'll be plenty of traditional carols, a message and something for any younger ones to get involved with. This will be followed by free hot festive savoury treats, mince pies, chocolates and hot drinks.
After that, we've love to you stick around as you're invited to take part in making your own Christmas Tree ornaments, Nativity Wreath or decorating some Gingerbread Cookies - there's something for everyone!
Whether you've been to one of our carol events before, or you're thinking of joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you with us.
'Turn Up and Join' Nativity

For the past few years, we've held an 'Turn up and join in' style nativity in the run up to Christmas and we're looking forward to having one again this year on 24 December.
This is a chance for children to come along with their families and get involved in a nativity service where there's no rehearsal or preparation needed! There'll be costumes for the children, familiar characters telling the Christmas story and fun for all the family.
The impromptu nativity service will take place at Jubilee Hall from 10.30am on 24 December when we'd usually have our normal church service.

We'll be holding our usual Christmas day service at Jubilee Hall this year from 10.30am.
It's a chance for people to come along and celebrate the good news of Christmas for a short time with others in the morning before the hustle and bustle of Christmas day kicks in.
Our christmas day service is short and sweet with a chance to sing a few familiar carols, hear a short message on the joy of Christmas and to enjoy a few Christmas drinks and snacks with eachother before heading home.
