Frequently asked questions

Where is the holiday club?

The holiday club will take place in Wakefield (Lupset) at Jubilee Hall. You can find out more about where this is and how to get there on our contact us page.

What happens at the holiday club?

At our holiday club, we'll teach primary school aged children about the Bible in fun ways. We have lots of fun playing big games, creating things with arts and crafts and there are also quizzes, songs and challenges to enjoy. The theme for this year is 'Shipwrecked' and is centred around the Bible's story of Jonah.

Do adults need to stay with their children?

Children will need to be dropped off and picked up by an adult but adults are then free to go home and put their feet up while their children have a few hours of fun with us.

For those adults who would like to stick around, there will be a cafe running at Jubilee Hall where parents can relax and chat over coffee and cakes.

For safeguarding and space reasons parents will be asked to leave or go to the cafe but if you feel your child needs you to stay with them for any reason, please let us know and we can make sure to factor this into our planning for you.

After a great lunch together last year, we are inviting parents to join us for a bite to eat again after the final session on Friday. There'll be a buffet and a chance to hear what the children have been up to! We'll send a reminder out about this during the week of the club.

Are leaders DBS checked?

The holiday bible club will be run by members at Grace Church Wakefield and all leaders have been DBS checked . All those involved in running the club will be following our church safeguarding rules and guidelines to help make sure your children are kept safe while they're with us. There will also be a registered First Aider present for each session.

Who do I contact if I need to make a change to my form?

If you've already filled out a form but need to make a change, please contact Jamie on 07910 731 469.

I'm not free on one of the days - can my child/children still come?

To get the most out of our holiday club it's best to attend all three days. However, if you can only attend one or two and not all, that's fine! Just choose which days you can come on the form and book your place as normal.
